Meethaq launches first-of-its-kind salary bonus scheme for customers
Meethaq, the pioneer of Islamic banking in Oman from Bank Muscat, has launched a first-of-its-kind salary bonus scheme for customers.
Marking the season of celebration, new Meethaq customers can get five per cent of salary as cash bonus when they transfer their salary to Meethaq savings account.
The three-month limited period salary bonus scheme is open to all Meethaq customers with a minimum monthly salary of RO500. For instance, a customer whose salary is RO500 can earn cash bonus of RO25 whereas another customer whose salary is RO3,000 is eligible for RO150 and so on. The maximum salary bonus will be RO500 and the cash bonus will be paid once to customers after the first salary credit to Meethaq savings account.
There are no pre-conditions attached to the salary bonus scheme, except that the salary must be transferred to Meethaq savings account maintained at any Meethaq branch in Oman and the customer has to stay with the bank for at least six months. All new customers who transfer their salary to Meethaq are entitled to the five per cent salary bonus up to a maximum of RO500. The cash bonus will be given from shareholders’ profits/ funds as Hiba.
