Consumer Protection Body Recovers Over RO29,000
The Consumer Protection Administration in Dakhliyah governorate has recovered RO29,210 in disputes in the first quarter of 2016.
A press release stated that the administration received 328 complaints through its hotline, portal, its pages on social media and its offices.
The complaints were mostly related to car repair workshops, spare parts, contracting, mobile phones and services, aluminium and carpentry workshops, manpower services and other goods and services. “The administration mediated between many dispute parties and referred others to legal authorities to solve them.”
The Public Authority for Consumer Protection has called upon all service providers to adhere to the Consumer Protection Law.
