An Indian expatriate committed suicide in Ibri by hanging himself in his accommodation. He has been identified as Ratish Rajan (33), an aluminium fabricator. His body was found on Tuesday evening by his friends.
Financial issues are said to be the reason behind the step. He was last seen on Monday. Rajan had come to Ibri from Salalah around ten months ago.
This was his second stint in Oman. He had worked in the sultanate three years earlier, too. The body has been kept at the Ibri hospital and will be repatriated soon.
