Weener was visiting to hand over a cheque for RO3,000 which had been raised at a special dinner at the house of Shawqi Sultan.
The dinner is an annual event and is designed to raise money for NHI and their work in developing young Omanis for the industry. Robert MacLean, principal, NHI, thanked Weener for the award and also thanked Sultan for hosting the event which the NHI students served at.
NHI has plans to spend the money on a new recruiting idea which will help raise awareness about the jobs available in the hospitality industry in Oman.
