Ramadan Work Timings Announced

The official working hours during Ramadan for ministries, public authorities and other departments of the state’s administrative apparatus will be from 9am to 2pm.

The announcement was made on Sunday by H E Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal bin Saud al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court and chairman of the Civil Service Council.

H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Abdullah al Bakri, Minister of Manpower also issued a decision reducing working hours for Muslims at private sector companies to six hours per day and 30 hours per week.

Ramadan moon-sighting will be announced later by the concerned authorities.
