The Ministry of Manpower’s directorate office in Buraimi arrested 47 workers for Labour Law violations in February.
These included 34 commercial workers, seven private sector workers and six farm hands.
It was found that 38 had been declared absconding while the rest had been retrenched. Fifty-eight expats were deported during the same period after taking the necessary legal procedures, a release said.
