Cool breeze and cloudy skies have ensured a pleasant weather

Pleasant weather is likely to continue for a few more days along with light to moderate rain and thunderstorms over the northern parts of the sultanate until Wednesday evening, the Met office has said.

“Cool breeze and cloudy skies have ensured a pleasant weather throughout Muscat governorate. This has resulted in a drop in temperature by four degrees,” an official from the Met office said on Monday.

In a statement, the Directorate General of Meteorology said, “There will be clear to partly cloudy skies over most parts of the sultanate with the possibility of strong winds over desert and open areas on Tuesday. There are chance of late night to early morning low level clouds or fog patches over South Sharqiyah.”

The official said that parts of Musandam and South Sharqiyah will see light rain on Wednesday. “There will be clear to partly cloudy skies over most parts of the sultanate with convective clouds development and rain over Hajar mountains towards evening along with strongs winds over desert and open areas.”

The wave height along the coastline is expected to remain between 1m and 1.5m.
