Heavy rain has been reported in northern Oman, weather enthusiasts said.
“Wadis are overflowing in Suwaiq, Samail, Al Awabi, Ouf, Shatan and other areas,” Bader Ali Al Baddaei, administrator of www.rthmc.net, a local Web-based forum that discusses weather in Oman.
Oman meteorology department has issued a advisory predicting thundershowers in Rustaq, Samail, Saiq, Mhada, Yanqual and Jabal_Shams.
On Saturday, the met department had predicted clear to partly cloudy skies over the northern parts of the Sultanate with chances of convective clouds development and thundershowers associated with fresh wind and hail over Musandam, Al Buraimi and Al Dhahira governorates and Al Hajar Mountains and the coastal areas of Oman Sea.
