Kuwait Airways increases free baggage to select Indian, SriLanka & Philippine destinations

Kuwait Airways has increased free baggage allowance for passengers travelling from Muscat to Ahmedabad, Cochin, Delhi, Mumbai, Colombo, and Manila.

According to a press release, passengers travelling to these destinations will get free allowance of two pieces of baggage weighing 23kg each, a total of 46kg. The offer is valid for passengers travelling to and from Muscat to these destinations till June 30.

Kuwait Airways recently introduced a new baggage policy ‘Baggage made simple’ under which all its routes are now operating on a piece concept basis. The offer of two pieces of 23kg each with a total of 46kg is introduced to select destinations for attracting more passengers during summers including families who wish to avail more free baggage allowance on their return too.

The new baggage policy will now help customers carry more weight and enjoy reduced excess baggage charges if any extra piece is carried.

Customers flying to other destinations than the mentioned six can carry only one piece weighing 23kg and any excess baggage will be charged on an extra piece basis. The first excess bag with a maximum of 23kg will be charged RO45, the second excess bag weighing 23kg will be charged RO80 and the third excess bag of 23kg will be charged RO130. The new excess charges up to 23kg will be of greater benefit to customers carrying excess bags as the cost of buying an additional 23kg piece of baggage to many sectors is cut by 60 per cent and above.

In addition to more free baggage allowance, Kuwait Airways is also offering attractive fares to the six destinations. The special fare from Muscat to Ahmedabad, Delhi and Mumbai is RO33 (one-way) and RO56 return; Colombo RO44 (one-way) and RO61 return; Cochin RO48 (one-way) and RO88 return; Manila RO 107 (one-way) and RO170 return. These fares are excluding of airport taxes and surcharges and are valid for travel till June 15.
