Midday break for outdoor workers during summer months will be effective from tomorrow for three months (June, July, August).
To be implemented from 12.30pm till 3.30pm, the ministry has urged the private sector companies to comply with provisions of clause 16 (3) of the regulations of safety and occupational health that ban the employment of workers in open spaces with high temperatures during noon time.
The regulation is expected to help improve workers’ efficiency and productivity and boast the development of national economy.
