886 Workers Violate Labour Law

The weekly report of the joint inspection team at the Ministry of Manpower pointed out that the number of workers violating the Labour Law during May 22nd till 28th, 2016 stood at (886) including (738) commercial workers, (44) farmworkers and (104) housemaids and their equivalents.

The Governorate of North Al-Batinah witnessed the largest number of workers violating the law with (270), followed by the Governorate of Dhofar with (187) workers.

The competent authorities at the Ministry of Manpower are taking the legal procedures against them.

On the other hand, the Manpower Ministry statistics showed that (387) expatriate workers were deported for violating provisions of the Labour Law and the ministerial decisions executing the law.
