More than 1000 employees of Muscat Municipality across the city went on strike on Sunday morning protesting over a downward adjustment of their grade.
Some of the employees present at the scene said that this could mean a minimum of RO130 cut in salary on account of being in the lower grade. They said that they would continue with the strike until their demand is met to reverse this decision.
