Oman participates in International Administrative conference in Cairo

The conference was organised by the Arab Union for Administrative Judiciary. The sultanate was represented by a delegation led by Sheikh Majid bin Abdullah bin Mubarak al Alawi, head of the Administrative Court.

The delegation included advisors Nasser bin Mohammed bin Nasser al Rawahi, Abdullah bin Masoud bin Ali al Sunaidy, Dr Jabir bin Khalfan bin Salim al Hatali, and Said bin Abdullah bin Nasser al Zaabi, director of the Office of the Head of the Administrative Court.

The conference, which concluded on Tuesday reviewed the practices in the Arab member states of the union, as well as the various international and regional practices related to the settlement of electoral disputes.

The agenda of the conference included various themes in the field of adjudicating electoral disputes that aim to develop and strengthen cooperation between administrative courts in the Arab countries. The conference also saw exchange of experiences and learning about the Arab and international experiences and applications, benefiting from them, identifying difficulties and trying to find solutions.

Some of the proposals made by the judges of the participating member states, representatives and specialists around the world were presented at the conference and the recommendations of the conference discussed.
