Rain fell in different parts of Muscat on Tuesday afternoon.
“It has started raining in several areas of Muscat and North and South Batinah from afternoon. Wadis are overflowing and in some places traffic has been hit,” according to the residents.
In its latest forecast, Oman meteorology department has predicted chances of flash flood and poor visibility during rain and thundershowers starting from Monday to Thursday, due to a deep upper air trough. “Isolated rains are expected over areas in Musandam, Al Buraimi, Al Dhahira, Muscat, North and South Batinah, and Sharqiyah region during this period,” it said.
