PACP conducts raid on illegal cosmetics manufacturing facility

The Consumer Protection Administration in North Batinah raided a makeshift facility manufacturing and packaging fake and low-quality frankincense and cosmetics.

The raid on the farm where the facility is located was carried out following a tip-off.

The expats involved in the business were caught red-handed. It was found that they imported the contents from an unknown source and used powdered wood, flour and synthetic perfumes in the items. None of the products carried labels.

These acts violate Article 7 of the Consumer Protection Law which bans circulation of fake, spoilt or unlicensed commodities.
